A lot of the flatland below Ventura Blvd is still the original 1950s and '60s ranch stock — one story, but spread across a large lot with long hallways and multiple wings. There are no stairs to slow us down, but there is simply more floor and baseboard to cover than a two-story home of the same square footage, so we plan the crew's route accordingly rather than timing it like a typical two-story job.
